Paramount PR likes to play an active part in the community by contributing to the success of various worthy charitable causes in our region.
Every year we assist our chosen charities by providing free advice and PR support to ensure their message gets out. We take great pleasure in offering this valuable service to such worthy causes, which enables all of their funds to go directly toward their reaching their goal.
Comfort & Warmth Homeless Charity
Comfort and Warmth are the relief of poverty and distress among people who are homeless or who are suffering from other forms of social, economic or emotional stress, in such a manner as the Trustees in their absolute discretion, see fit.
Comfort and Warmth incorporates Comfort at Christmas- a shelter that opens over the Christmas period. It also operates two soup kitchens a week in the summer months.
Every year in the run up to the festive period Paramount PR assists Comfort & Warmth by writing a media release outlining their plight for volunteers and supplies and in turn usually the charity is overwhelmed by the number of helpers and donations coming forward.
Harvey Hext Appeal
The appeal aims to raise funds for six-year-old twin boy Harvey, which will allow him to access potentially lifesaving treatment not currently available on the NHS.
Harvey, of Winford, has Downs Syndrome like his twin brother and was diagnosed in 2010 with stage four Neuroblastoma- a very aggressive childhood cancer.
He has undergone chemotherapy and Meta-Iodo-Benzyl-Guanidine (MIBG) therapy to treat the cancer, as well as a 14-hour operation to remove a stomach tumour.
Treatments in the UK for Neuroblastoma are limited but overseas treatments appear to have success, and it is hoped Harvey will receive treatment in Germany or the USA, once a £300,000 target has been raised.
Paramount PR has assisted the Harvey Hext Appeal with press release writing in conjunction with one of our other clients, Puxton Park, who chose to adopt the charity as one of its causes. Together through regular fundraising events at Puxton Park, which are publicised in the media through our media releases, we aim to raise awareness of Harvey's plight and in turn help the charity to raise valuable sums towards his treatment.
